Why Teach for Nepal Walkathon?

I was amazed to see every students in school wearing slippers instead of school shoes. I asked one of the student, why wouldn’t he wear shoes. He replied it burns, it burns to wear closed shoe and walk for hours in sun.

He walks about an hour to reach school. He pass by a barren hill in his way. So he suggests to plant trees in the land. May it be done soon!!!

Shoes burns, slippers hurts, still education is more important. I walk to villages of Sindhupalchok on Saturdays to experience the motivation that beats the burn.
